چکیده

S pontaneous hypertensive rats (SHR) are a genetic model of hypertension that is widely accepted in medical research because of the features they share with idiopathic hypertension in humans. During the last four decades, many researchers have attempted to determine the aetiology of hypertension in SHR by comparing this family of hypertensive experimental animals with other types of hypertensive (Dahl salt-sensitive) or normotensive (Wistar-Kyoto, Dahl salt-resistant) rats. The results have clearly demonstrated differences between SHR and normotensive rats with regard to the probable pathophysiological mechanisms implicated in hypertension, with special emphasis on the sympathetic nervous system. Intensification of brain injury and blood-brain barrier permeability by short-term hypertension in experimental model of brain ischemia/reperfusion

Introduction: Arterial hypertension is one of the causes of stroke, and as one of the vasculotoxic conditions intensifies ischemic stroke complications. The aim of the present study was to analyze the effects of short-term cerebral hypertension on ischemia/reperfusion injury and pathogenesis of ischemic stroke. Methods: The experiments were performed on three groups of rats (N=36) Sham, cont...

Acute and Chronic Effects of Ferula persica on Blood Pressure of Hypertensive Rats and Its Possible Mechanism of Action

Background: Ferula persica has been used in traditional medicine for treatment of high blood pressure. In this study acute and chronic effect of aqueous F. persica extract on BP of hypertensive rats and its possible mechanism of action have been investigated. Methods: Eighty two male Wistar rats were divided into 12 experimental groups. Hypertension was induced by Goldblatt method in ...

بررسی اثرات تزریق سوبسترای رنین در هسته آمیگدال مرکزی بر فشارخون شریانی و ضربان قلب در موش صحرایی مبتلا به پرفشاری خون کلیوی ـ عروقی

Introduction & Objectives: Previous studies have revealed that induction of two kidney-one clip (2K1C) Goldblatt hypertension in rats eliminates hypertensive response after inactivating of the Central Nucleus of the Amygdala (CA). The present study investigated the possibility of alteration in local Renin Angiotensin System (RAS) activity in CA after hypertension induction and evaluation of car...

Molecular detection and genotypic characterization of Toxoplasma gondii in paraffin-embedded fetoplacental tissues of women with recurrent spontaneous abortion

Background Congenital toxoplasmosis is an important cause of spontaneous abortion worldwide. However, there is limited information on detection and genotypic characterization of T. gondii in women with recurrent spontaneous abortion (RSA). The aim of this study is molecular detection and genotypic characterization of T. gondii in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded fetoplacental tissues (FFPTs) o...

Amygdala centralis cardiovascular response to angiotensin I microinjection in Goldblatt hypertensive rats

Previous studies have shown that induction of 2kidney -1clip Goldblatt hypertension (2K-1C) induction in rats eliminates hypertensive response after inactivating of the central nucleus of the amygdale (ACe). The present study investigated the possibility of alteration in local renin angiotensin system (RAS) activity in ACe after hypertension induction. Clamps were placed on the left renal arter...
